The first of which is history which “lies underneath the surface,” providing the foundation for white supremacy in this country. The second is the culture, which exists everywhere in our everyday lives, providing foundation of white culture as normalization. Lastly, the third is body image. The key relationships and rules across society providing the legitimacy and reinforcements to maintain and perpetuate racism.
